Martha Whitten Is Married To Edwin T. Knight

Miss Martha Isabell Whitten, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Whitten, of Washburn, and Edwin T. Knight, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Knight, Sr., of Jonesboro, were married Saturday evening at 7 o'clock in the First Methodist church, Brewer. Rev. Charles E. Dartnell officiated, reading the double ring ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. George Turner attended the couple.

The bride wore a navy blue crepe dress with matching accessories and complimented her dress with a corsage of white roses.

Mrs. Turner wore a flowered silk dress with matching accessories. Her corsage was of white roses.

The bride attended Washburn high school, Aroostook State Normal School, the University of Maine, Farmington State Teachers College and Gorham State Teachers College. She is now principal of Sargent School in Brewer.

Mr. Knight attended Jonesboro high school, Washington State Normal school and the University of Maine. He is now affiliated with Alpha Chapter of the Zeta Sigma fraternity. He is now a member of the teaching staff of Fairmount School in this city.

Mr. and Mrs. Knight will reside at 270 Elizabeth avenue.
