Washburn Girl Engaged To Wed Skowhegan Man

WASHBURN, July 7 [1950] -- Mr. and Mrs. William Jardine announced the engagement of their daughter, Witha Margaret to Erwin Rowe of Skowhegan at a recent engagement tea given in honor of Miss Jardine. Miss Jardine is a teacher at Presque Isle high school and Mr. Rowe is engaged in farming. No date has been set for the wedding.

The tea table was beautiful with a centerpiece of spirea and white roses with silver candlesticks and the silver tea service. Presiding at the table were Mrs. Charles Jardine, Mrs. Harold Umphrey and Mrs. Earl Munson who poured. Mrs Gerald Everett had charge the guest book.

Other guests were Miss Autice Jardine, Mrs. Quenten Jardine and daughter, Ruth, Mrs. Herman Jardine, Miss Barbara Blackstone, Mrs. Gerald Jardine, Miss Anita Dahlgren, Mrs. Clayton Knox, Miss Helen Knox, Mrs. Gerald Cole, Mrs. Linwood Peary, Miss Dora Jardine, Miss Beverly Wilder, Mrs. Orin Wilder, Jr., all of Washburn.
