The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Philip C. Hughey, Jr. The wedding march was played by Miss Helen Knox and Mr. Hughey sang "Father in Heaven, Hear Us Today."
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a floor length gown of white embroidered organdy with matching picture hat. She carried a colonial bouquet of white roses and lily of the valley. The matron of honor, Mrs. Quentin Jardine, wore pink sheer with matching picture hat and carried a colonial bouquet of mixed poms. The best man was Harley Rowe, brother of the bridegroom. Quenten and Gerald Jardine, brothers of the bride, acted as ushers.
The bride's mother wore aqua crepe with a corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. Rowe, mother of the bridegroom, wore a navy crepe dress complemented by a corsage of red roses.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held. Mrs. Gerald Everett was in charge of the guest book and Mrs. Earl Munson presided at the gift table. At the punch table were Mrs. Gerald Jardine and Mrs. Harley Rowe. After the traditional first slice was cut by the bridal couple, the wedding cake, which was made by Mrs. Quenten Jardine, was served by Mrs. Charles Knapp.
For traveling the bride chose a deep blue gabardine dress, winter white topper and navy accessories. Immediately after the reception, the couple left on a wedding trip and on their return they will reside in Skowhegen.
