
COUNCILOR AND BRIDE -- Lee C. Good of Monticello member of the Governor's Executive Council, and Aroostook County potato grower, and his bride, the former Miss Katrina Bartley of Perth, N. B., as they were greeted in a local hotel Monday night following their marriage earlier in the day in the Fort Fairfield parsonage of the Reformed Baptist church. Mrs. Good, a native of Easton, taught school in Mars Hill and Canada.
DOUBLE-RING SERVICE
The double-ring service was performed by the Rev. George DeLong, minister of that church, at 2 p. m.
Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Glasier Goodine of Perth. Mrs. Goodine is a sister of the bride.
The 39-year-old bride wore a navy blue suit, with a corsage of snapdragons and heather.
There was no reception. Mr. and Mrs. Good left immediately for Bangor where they were overnight guests at a local hotel. They will go to Augusta Tuesday to be the guests at a Christmas party to be attended by Mr. Good's council colleagues. Mrs. Good will attend a meeting of the Council Wednesday.
BRIDE IN CHURCH WORK
The couple had planned to be married in Caribou but had to change the marriage scene to Fort Fairfield, due to the absence of the Rev. Fred Wright, retired.
Mrs. Good taught school several years in Mars Hill and in various communities in Canada. For many years she has been active in religious activities. Mr. Good has conducted revival services the past several years.
The 65-year-old counclior also is an Aroostook county potato grower.
Mr. Good also is a former maine legislator, having served several terms in the House and Senate before his election to the Executive Council.
Mrs. Good is a native of Easton, Aroostook county.
