ENGAGED -- Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brewer of Washburn are announcing the engagement of their daughter Marie, above, of Madawaska to Walter Novack, son of Mrs. Lena Novack and the late Mr. Novack of Pawtucket, R. I. Miss Brewer is a graduate of Farmington State Teachers college with a B. S. degree in Home Economics. She taught in Newport for one year and for the past four years has been teacher of Economics at the Madawaska High school. Novack is a graduate of Rhode Island State college with a B. S. degree and received his Master's degree from Rutgers university of New Jersey. He taught for two years at the Madawaska High school and is now science instructor at the Washington State Normal school in Machias. A June wedding is planned.
