Althea Giggie Becomes Bride Of Ashland Man

WASHBURN -- Miss Althea Giggie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elbridge Giggie, and William Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hazen Walker of Ashland, were recently united in marriage by the Rev. Arthur Northrup, pastor of the Advent Christian Church at Crouseville. The double ring ceremony was held at the home of the bride's parents in Crouseville with immediate relatives attending. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Lewellen Jones of Mapleton played incidental music on the solovox.

Attending the couple were the bride's sister, Miss Zella Giggie and the bridegroom's brother, Robert Walker. The bride was attired in a blue net over taffeta gown ballerina length and wore a corsage of white carnations. Miss Zella Giggie wore a yellow net over taffeta gown and her corsage was also of white carnations.

The bride is a graduate of Washburn High School and attended Aroostook State Normal school. The bridegroom graduated from Ashland High school and the University of Maine and is employed by his father at Walker's Dairy.
