Washburn Man Takes Bride

WASHBURN, Feb. 17 [1952] -- Miss Dorothy A. DyKinga, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl DyKinga of Bradenton, Fla., recently became the bride of Richard D. Griffin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Griffin of this town.

Mrs. Griffin is a graduate of Manattee County High School where she was a member of the Girl's Reserve and on the drill squad three years. She also a member of the Order of Rainbow Girls. After attending high school in Washburn, Mr. Griffin enlisted in the Army and was assigned to the 27th Regiment, 25th Division. As a result of frostbite contacted in Korea, he underwent treatment for four and a half months at Walter Reed hospital in Washington, D. C. He now has been discharged from the Army.

The couple will reside in Florida.
