ENGAGED -- Mrs. Ernest Johnson of Presque Isle has announced the engagement of her daughter, Joyce Marie Waugh, above, to S-Sgt. Norman Reed, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Reed of New Bedford, Mass. Miss Waugh was graduated from Presque Isle high school, in 1949 and also attended Providence Bible Institute for three years.

She is now employed as a cashier in the First National store, Presque Isle. S-Sgt. Reed was graduated from New Bedford high school and is now in the United States Air Force, stationed at Presque Isle Air Force Base. A summer wedding is planned.
