MRS. EDWARD H. BLANCHETTE
The double-ring candle-light ceremony was performed by the Rev. Arthur B. Northup, pastor of the Advent Christian church in Crouseville. The altar was decorated with baskets of white gladioli and palms.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Robert Conley of Hartford, Conn., was lovely in a ballerina-length dress of white dotted nylon and white hat. She carried a white Bible topped with a corsage of white satin streamers caught with white roses and fern.
Mrs. Marcella Dean, aunt of the bride, was matron of honor and wore a ballerina length dress of pink embroidered nylon with a corsage of white
Gary Dean, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
Pfc. Willis York, U. S. A. F. of Virginia attended the bridegroom and ushers were Pfc. Richard Hollman, U. S. A. F., of Detroit, Mich., and Pfc. Arthur Torris, U. S. A. F., of Taunton, Mass.
Selections played by the pianist, Mrs. Robert Conley, sister-ln-law of the bride, were. "Deep Purple," "O Perfect Love," "Always," "Clair De Lune" the Bridal chorus and during the ceremony "Traumerie" and Mendelssohn's Wedding March. The Rev. Bernard Black sang "Because," "I Love You Truly," and "Beneath the Cross of Jesus."
The bride's mother wore a navy blue print dress with white accessories and a corsage of white roses.
RECEPTION HELD
A reception followed the ceremony, in the dining room of the church. The couple received many gifts and a sum of money. Mrs. Bernard Black of Washburn circulated the guest book and Miss Mary Blackstone of Hartford, Conn., formerly of Perham, presided at the gift table. Serving were Mrs. Richard Stephens of Niantis, Conn., and Mrs. John Taylor of Hartford. A three-tiered
wedding cake, made by the bride's mother, was served by Mrs. Robert Conley.
Out-of-town guests were the Rev. and Mrs. Arthur Northrup, Crouseville, Beverly Blackstone, East Hartford, Conn.: Lt. Laurel Crouse, Westover Air Force Base, Mass., formerly of Crouseville, Pfc. Ernest Cherry of Pennsylvania, and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Winslow, Presque Isle.
Immediately after the reception, the bridal couple left on a wedding trip to Worcester, Mass., and New York City.
Mrs. Blanchard attended Washburn High school and is now employed in the shipping department of the Desley Fabric company, Chicopee, Mass. The bridegroom is a graduate of Presque Isle High school and is now stationed at Westover Air Force base, Mass.
The couple is residing at 72 Ward street, Chicopee Falls, Mass.
