The Rev. Earl Waterman, pastor of the Advent Christian Church in Crouseville, performed the double ring ceremony. The home was decorated with bouquets of seasonal flowers.
The bride was attired in a dusty rose suit with navy accessories, and she wore a corsage of white gladioli.
Miss Barbara Nickerson, a friend of the bride, maid of honor, wore a gray suit, with a rose corsage and accessories.
The best man was Gene Pickard of Ashland.
Mrs. Carlton, mother of the bride, wore navy with a corsage of rose gladioli. Mrs. Hews was attired in a black and white stripe dress with a pink gladioli corsage.
Following the ceremony, members of the immediate families and the bridal party were served a wedding supper by the Young Ladies Mission Group at the Mission Home.
Mrs. Hews, a graduate of Washburn High School, has been employed by the Aroostook Growers Association. Mr. Hews is a graduate of Ashland High School and is employed as a guide at Munsungen Lake.
After a wedding trip the couple will reside at, Blake Street, Presque Isle.
