The Rev. J. Wesley Stuart, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Wilmont J. Umphrey, wore a beige colored suit.
with white hat. Her corsage was white chrysanthemums. Mr. and Mrs. David Jardine of Crouseville were the attendants. Mrs. Jardine was attired in a navy blue suit with a red hat. Her corsage was red mums.
Baskets of yellow and white chrysanthemums were used, in front of the alter for decoration.
Mrs. Wilmont J. Churchill played the traditional wedding marches and was accompanist for the soloist. Dana Nickerson of Presque Isle, brother of the bridegroom. He sang "I Love You Truly" and "The Lord's Prayer."
Users were Glen Umphrey of Worcester,, Mass., and Dal Umphrey, brothers of the bride.
Mrs. Umphrey, mother of the bride, wore a plum colored dress with a yellow corsage. The groom's mother wore a brown suit with pink corsage.
CHURCH RECEPTION
A reception was held in the church parlor following the wedding. Decorations were bouquets of yellow and white chrysanthemums.
Mrs. Roy Philbrick of Carson, sister of the bridegroom circulated the guest book.
The gift table was in charge of two classmates of the bride, Miss Patricia Plissey and Miss Joyce Nutting.
Mrs. Verle Plissey and Mrs. Paul Conley, former classmates served at the punch bowl.
Mrs. Dana Nickerson and Mrs. Enrico de Angelis assisted in serving at the guest table.
The three-tier decorated wedding cake, made by Mrs. Quentin Jardine, cousin of the bride, was served by Mrs. Jardine, after the bride and bridegroom cut the first slice.
The couple will be at home in Crouseville after a brief wedding trip. Mrs. Nickerson is a graduate of Washburn High school and is employed at the Norther national Bank in Presque Isle.
Nickerson is a carpenter in the employ of Alonzo Flewelling of Crouseville.
