The Rev. Gerald Flewelling performed the double ring ceremony assisted by the Rev. Reuben Martin, who sang "Together Life's Pathway" accompanied by Mrs. Martin.
The bride chose a navy and white crepe dress with winter white accessories. She wore a corsage of red roses.
Miss Naorni Nickerson, friend of the bride and maid of honor wore a gray plaid suit and winter white and red accessories. She also wore a red rose corsage. The best man was Robert Doody of Crouseville.
The bride's mother wore a slate blue satin dress with black accessories and rhinestone jewelery and a corsage of red roses. The bridegroom's mother wore a two-tone blue crepe dress with black accessories and rhinestone jewelery. She also wore a red rose corsage.
A wedding luncheon, with Mrs. Gerald Flewelling in charge was served immediately following the ceremony. Mrs. Reuben Martin cut and served the wedding cake after the traditional first slice had been cut by the bride and bridegroom.
The couple will reside at the home of the bridegroom's parents after a short wedding trip.
Mrs. Wayne Churchill (the former Miss Barbara Nickerson) was honored at a past nuptial shower at the home of Mrs. Charles Carlton in Crouseville recently. The shower was given by Mrs. Carlton, Mrs. Shirley Hews and Mrs. Marguerite Flewelling. The gift table was attractively decorated with a large pink and white umbrella and a bride doll. After several games and the opening of gifts, refreshments were served.
The shower cake was also centered with a miniature bride doll holding a decorated umbrella, and was cut and served by Mrs. Constance Crouse. Mrs. Ruth Carlton was at the punch bowl. Those assisting in serving were Mrs. Phyllis Allen and Mrs. Margurite Flewelling.
