Sharon A. Walker Of Presque Isle Becomes Bride

PRESQUE ISLE, May 21 [1956] -- Miss Sharon Ann Walker, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Walker, of Presque Isle has become the bride of Danie1 Deeves, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Deeves of Washburn at St. John's Episcopal Church here.

The Rev. Roger Smith of Fort Fairfield officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Philip C. Walker, wore a white embroidered ballerina length gown. Her white illusion veil fell from a crown of lilies of the valley. She carried a white colonial bouquet.

The bride's aunt, Mrs. Robert Leason was her matron of honor. She wore a blue and white printed ballerina, length gown, complimented by a bouquet of mixed flowers.

Berry Stoddard of Washburn was best man and Eugene Walker, the bride's brother, served as usher.

The bride's grandmother wore a green printed silk dress with white accessories complimented by a white corsage.

The mother of the bridegroom wore a navy silk dress with white and navy accessories and a white corsage.

The couple was honored at a reception at the Castle Hill Grange hall. Patricia Libby was in charge of the guest book and Mrs. Philip Walker, aunt of the bride, was in charge of the gift table. Mrs. Claude Cyr, Miss Mary Lou Bishop and Miss Phyllis Hay assisted in serving.

The wedding cake was served by Miss Cynthia Ballard.

For traveling, the bride wore a light blue linen suit with navy and white accessories for a wedding trip to Mount Desert Island.

The bride was graduated from Ricker Classical Institute in Houlton and is attending Farmington State Teachers College.

Mr. Deeves was graduated from Washburn High school and is serving in the U. S. Air Force. He has been assigned to a radar site in Northern Ontario.
