Wedding music was played by Mrs. Norton Dempsey of Winchester, Mass., cousin of the bride.
Bernard Blackstone of Caribou, brother of the bride, sang "Together Life's Pathway We Tread".
As the bride approached the altar, the bridegroom sang "Thankful". She wore a full-length gown with entrain of brocaded taffeta fashioned with a fitted bodice, nylon net yolk trimmed with seeded pearls and long pointed sleeves. Her finger-tip, tulle veil fell from a cap of nylon lace trimmed with pearls and iridescent sequins. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses and baby breath.
Mrs. Donald Blackstone of Presque Isle, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore an aqua gown of taffeta and net and a matching headband and carried a nosegay of mixed flowers. Bridesmaid was Mrs. Alfred Black of Hartford, Conn., cousin of the bride. She wore a pink gown of lace and net and a matching headband and a carried a nosegay of mixed flowers.
Virginia Martin of Washburn, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a gown of blue and pink nylon. Ring-bearers were Clayton Blackstone, Jr. and Dale Blackstone of Perham, nephews of the bride.
Lloyd Blackstone of Perham, brother of the bride, was best men. Ushers were Clayton Blackstone, Sr., Perham, Dr. Donald Blackstone, Presque Isle, both brothers of the bride, Clayton Coffin and Wendell Tompkins of Presque Isle.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Blackstone wore a two piece dress of light blue bemberg with white accessories and a corsage of red roses.
A reception followed the ceremony. The couple received in front of an evergreen arch and flowers.
Mrs. Clayton Blackstone, Perham, sister-in-law of the bride, was in charge of the guest book. In charge of the gift table were Mrs. Wendell Blackstone, Perham, Mrs. Hartson Blackstone. Jr., Woodland, and Mrs. Lila Haines, Presque Isle.
The wedding cake, made by Mrs. Bennie Tompkins, Jr., was cut and served by Mrs. Reuben Martin, cousin of the bride, following the first slice cut by the young couple.
Assisting in serving were Mrs. Claire Silver, Mrs. Basil Fox, Mrs. Archie Silver, Mrs. Robert Helstrom and Mrs. Bennie Tompkins, Jr., all of Wade.
The couple left on a wedding trip to Big Lake. For traveling, the bride wore a slate blue suit; with navy accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Upon their return they will reside at Minneapolis, Minn.
The bride is a graduate of Washburn High School and Rob Jones University. She has been working as dental assistant to Dr. Donald Blackstone
Olson is a graduate of the schools of Des Moines, Iowa, has been discharged from the United States Air Force after four years of service. He will enter Northwestern University in the fall.
