Miss Henderson Becomes Bride In Connecticut

CHESHIRE, Conn., Jan. 13 [1958] -- Miss Shirley-Ann Henderson of Cheshire, Conn., became the bride of CM 2 Alfred W. Fellows of West Haven, Conn., December 28 in a double ring ceremony at St. Bridget's Church. The Rev. John P. Cook officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Henderson of Washburn, Maine. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Fellows III of West Haven, Conn.

Miss Mary Martin was organist and also sang "Ave Maria."

The bride, given in marriage by her brother-in-law, William J. Sasso of Cheshire, wore a candlelight satin gown which she designed and made. It was fashioned with a straight princess style line front with a high neck-line dipping to a deep V in back.

The lace appliquéd on the gown was from the wedding gown of the bridegroom's mother at her wedding 36 years ago, the skirt was made with two inverted pleats forming a full back and falling into semi-long train.

Her cascade bouquet was of white carnations and roses centered with holly, with a pair of Rosary beads which have been in the bridegroom's family for 50 years, worked into the bouquet. Her fingertip veil of illusion was caught to a crown of satin and seed pearls.

Miss Nancy Green was maid of honor. She wore a red silk princess style taffeta gown and wore a crown of red rose buds. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses and carnations.

Miss Linda Ciarleglia of New Haven was flower girl. She wore a red organdy dress with a white organdy and lace overskirt in the shape of a rose, which was made and designed by the bride. She wore a halo crown of red rose buds and carried a bouquet of red and white-roses.

Joseph Kuczenski of New Haven was best man and ushers were Walter L. Colby and Allen E.

Pracht, all of the U. S. Navy.

A reception for approximately 200 guests was held at the Green Dolphin. The bride's sister, Mrs. William Sasso, with whom. Mrs. Fellows has made her home for the past two years, received guests In a Navy blue shantung sheath dress with white winter accessories. She wore a white orchid.

The mother of the bridegroom wore a French blue lace sheath dress with a pink hat and gloves and a white orchid.

For a wedding trip to Indian Cliff Resort in New Hampshire the bride wore a black jersey dress with an aqua feather hat and gloves and a corsage of white roses. They are at home at Bainbridge, Md.

Mrs. Fellows is a graduate of Boardman Trade High School in New Haven and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She was employed as assistant manager of Russeks Tall Girl Department and by the Advance Model Agency, both of New York.

Mr. Fellows is also a graduate of Boardman Trade High School and attended Stone's Business College. He has served four years with the U. S. Navy and has recently returned from a 10 month tour of duty in the Antarctica in connection with the International Geophysical year.
