The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Harold J. Rowley.
The maid of honor was Miss Ardis Bugbee, cousin of the bridegroom. Raymond Humphrey was best man.
The bride was attired in a white lace gown styled with sabrina neckline, and in waltz length. Her fingertip veil was attached to a white satin cap. Her white Bible was topped with white carnations tied with ribbon streamers.
The bride's mother wore a white satin dress and the bridegroom's mother wore a floral print in blue. Both had red-rose corsages.
The reception was held at the Grange Hall in Castle Hill. Claudia Haines had charge of the guest book and Carlene Rundstrom and Gerane Harding were at the gift table. After the traditional cake cutting ceremony. Clara Potter and Florence Bugbee cut and served the wedding cake. Others assisting with the serving were: Charlene Maynard, Thirza Maynard, Alice Howe and Shirley Howe.
The couple left by car for a trip to Old Orchard and other points in southern Maine. The bride traveled in a blue suit with white accessories. After August 15 they will be at home in the Mountain View Apartments, Presque Isle.
The bride attended Washburn High School where she was a member of the Glee Club, Commercial Club and Journalism Club. She is employed by Arden Kinny at Presque Isle.
The bridegroom attended Washburn High School and has served in the armed forces for two years, one of them in Germany. He is employed at Sears, Roebuck and Company.
