Naomi Nickerson Marries In Presque Isle Catholic Rectory

PRESQUE ISLE, May 11 [1960] -- Miss Naomi Nickerson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Nickerson of Crouseville, and Earl Niemiec, son of Mrs. Nettie Niemiec and Joseph Niemiec of Chicago, Ill., were united in holy matrimony at the rectory of St. Mary's Catholic Church by the Rev. John Harris of Presque Isle, Saturday morning.

Attending the bride and bride groom were Mr. and Mrs. William Eagle of Presque Isle.

The bride was attired in a light blue, sheath, street length linen dress, with which she wore a white lace picture hat. She complemented her ensemble with a white orchid corsage.

Mrs. Eagle was attired in a navy blue street length dress, large white lace hat and lavender orchid corsage.

Following the ceremony, the bridal party received their guests at a wedding breakfast, held in the private dining room of the Northeastland Hotel, Presque Isle.

After the bride and bridegroom had cut the traditional first slice of wedding cake, Mrs. Milford Libby continued to serve. Mrs. Wayne Churchill; sister of the bride, was in charge of the guest book, and Charlyne Saunders of Millinocket also a sister of the bride, was in attendance at the gift table.

The mother of the bridegroom was here from Chicago for the ceremony.

For the past four years the bride has been employed at the Presque Isle Air Force Base in the offices of base land commercial transportation. Also, for a brief period she was employed at the office of the base laundry.

For approximately the past 10 years, the bridegroom has been employed by General Motors

Electronic Division, Inc., as a field manager, the home office being located at Chicago, Ill.

Temporarily, the couple will be residing in the vicinity of Medway. In the near future they will

be traveling throughout the central and southeastern part of the United States.
