The double ring ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Edgar Hickel of Crouseville.
The church was decorated with baskets of white gladioli. The traditional wedding music was played by Donald Bickford. Nancy McIntire sang, "The Lord's Prayer," and "I Love You."
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of white silk styled with scalloped Sabrina neckline of Chantilly lace. The skirt was also appliqued with Chantilly lace.
Her fingertip veil of illusion fell from a Princess Margaret crown of tulle trimmed with seed pearls. She carried a white Testament with sweet peas and shattered carnations.
Miss Patricia Buck, the maid of honor, wore a ballerina length dress of blue silk organza with a bouffant skirt and bolero jacket of matching Chantilly lace and matching shoes.
The bridesmaids were Miss Suzanne Foster, the bride's sister, and Miss Charlotte Ketchum, the bridegroom's sister. Miss Foster wore a gown similar to the maid of honor's while Miss Ketchum wore a pink gown of similar style.
They carried nosegays of assorted flowers and wore headbands of flowers of the same assortment.
The best man was Russell Sutherland of Caribou. Ushers were Donald Foster, the bride's brother, and Galen Flewelling of Easton.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church amid decorations of yellow and white streamers and baskets of flowers.
Assisting in serving were Linda MacDonald who dipped punch, Mrs. Wesley Smith and Mrs. Arthur Miles who presided over the gift table Miss Linda Wood had charge of the guest book.
The wedding cake was made by the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Thomas Trafford.
Mr. and Mrs. Ketchum left by car for a week's trip through the White Mountains.
The bride graduated from Washburn High School in 1958 and will be a junior at the University of Maine this fall. She is taking the four year nursing course.
Mr. Ketchum graduated from Bridgewater Academy and will be a senior at the University of Maine this fall. He is a member of Phi Eta Kappa. He is employed at farming. The couple will make their home at 441 Union Street, Bangor; after September 4.
