The Rev. Donald Bickford officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Duane Grass, cousin of the bride, played traditional wedding music and accompanied Miss Myrna Beats who sang "I Love You Truly" and 'Because."
The church was decorated in a Christmas motif with baskets of pine, flanked by bouquets of white chrysanthemums and candelabra. Lighted candles burned at the windows.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of lace over taffeta. fashioned and made by herself. It featured a high scalloped neckline, long pointed sleeves and a full gathered skirt. Her finger-tip veil of bridal illusion fell from a crown of rhinestones and seed pearls. Her only jewelry was a pearl pendant, a gift of the bride-groom. She carried shattered carnations with streamers caught with carnation tips.
Miss Jill Fox, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. Her street length gown was of blue nylon over taffeta. She wore matching accessories and headpiece and carried red carnations.
Bridesmaids were Miss Virginia Kingsbury, sister of the bride, and Miss Florence Cook. Their street length gowns were of cerise and green nylon with which they wore matching accessories and headpieces. Each carried white carnations.
Robert Grass, cousin of the bride, was best man. Ushers were Dennis Kingsbury, the bride's brother, and Ronnie Fox, the bridegroom's brother. Junior usher was Keith Kingsbury, brother of the bride.
Julie Kingsbury was flower girl. She wore a light blue dress of nylon over taffeta, with matching accessories. add carried basket of shattered carnations.
Christopher Grass, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception followed the ceremony in the church vestry. Serving were Mrs. Glen Cook, Mrs. John Grass Jr., Mrs. Reuben Grass, aunts of the bride, and Mrs. Victor Ketchum.
Miss Reta MacPherson circulated the guest book. The gift table was in charge of Miss Susan
Bradbury, Miss Joan Orser and Miss Charlotte Ketchum.
After the traditional cutting of the wedding cake it was cut by Mrs. Leo Griffin, the bride's aunt, and served by Miss Darlene Stiles and Miss Charlotte Grass.
For her wedding trip the bride chose a brown suit with beige and black accessories and a corsage of baby mums.
After January 3 the couple will reside in Old Town.
The bride was graduated from Bridgewater Classical Academy and is attending the University of Maine.
The bridegroom graduated from Washburn High School and is attending the University of Maine.
