Mavis Ladner, Everett L. Towle, Fort Fairfield Residents, Marry

FORT FAIRFIELD -- Miss Mavis Ladner, daughter of B. W. Ladner of Fort Fairfield, and Everett L. Towle, son of Mrs. Kate Towle of Fort Fairfield and late Hiram Towle, Sr., were united in marriage Saturday afternoon at the United Parish Church in Fort Fairfield. The Rev. W. Vander Groef officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The church altar was with baskets of white mums. Traditional wedding music was played by Miss Jackie Towle at the organ. Vocal selections were by Thomas Kent.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Montford Ladner of Easton, wore a street length dress of Dior blue peau de soie with scoop neckline. The bodice was embroidered with iridescent

stones and beads. Her matching hat was trimmed with stones and she carried a white orchid hand bouquet.

Mrs. Jaska Fullerton of Albany, Ga. was matron of honor. She wore a navy blue sheath dress of silk shantung with matching pill-box hat. Her corsage was red carnations.

C. Gibson Smith, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Hiram Towle, Jr., Arthur Towle, Charles Towle and Donald Towle, all brother of the bridegroom.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the Aroostook Valley Country Club which was decorated with baskets of white mums. The gift book was circulated by Miss Carleen Towle, In charge of the gift table were Mrs. Molly Hines, Miss Betty Gallant and Miss Marjorie Haines. Members of Beta Sigma Phi sorority assisted in serving. Music was furnished by Carroll Parker at the piano.

For traveling the bride wore a magenta wool sheath dress with matching accessories. Following a wedding trip to Quebec the couple will be at home on the Hoyt Road in Fort Fairfield.

The bride is a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School, Becker College in Worcester, Mass., and is owner of the Moderne Shoppe in Fort Fairfield.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School and is a potato grower in Fort Fairfield.
