The traditional wedding march was played by Miss Sue Thompson of Washburn. The altar was decorated with baskets of seasonal flowers.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Herbert Jordan of Washburn.
The bride wore a street length dress of brocade rayon satin with a high neckline and short sleeves.
Her veil of bridal illusion was gathered with white velvet and pearls. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink carnations with babies' breath.
The matron of honor was Mrs. Pamela Nickerson, cousin of the bride. She wore a pink corded twill summer suit with matching white accessories. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink and white carnations.
Best man was Donald Quigley, brother of the bridegroom, of Mars Hill. Ushering was Gordon Somerville of Mars Hill.
A reception was held in the evening at the Caribou American Legion hall.
The bridal table was centered by a bridal cake flanked by candelabra.
The guest book was circulated by Mrs. George Jordan of Washburn, sister-in-law of the bride. Serving the wedding cake after the first slice had been cut by the bridal couple was Mrs. Wallace Stanley, sister of the bride.
Mrs. James L. Winter and Miss Joy Quigley presided at the gift table. Mrs. Everett Barker dipped punch.
The bride graduated from Washburn High School in June.
The bridegroom graduated from Aroostook Central Institute of Mars Hill and Aroostook StateTeachers College in the class of 1962. He has accepted a teaching position in Andover, N. B., Can.
The couple will reside at Andover, N. B.
The bride was feted at a pre-nuptial shower by Mrs. Lillian Winter of Presque Isle at her home.
