MRS. WILLIAM HUBERT KENNEDY
The Rev. Howard Krueger of officiated at the altar, which was decorated with gladioli and candelabra. Mrs. Howard Perkins of Crouseville played traditional wedding music and accompanied Waldon Babbidge who sang "I Love You Truly," "The Lord's Prayer," and "I Love Thee."
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of peau de soie with a full chapel train. The gown had a basque bodice, long pointed sleeves, and a Sabrina neckline which was accented with pearl and sequins. Her elbow length tulle veil of bridal illusion was attached to a tiara of seed pearls and crystals. She carried a cascade of red roses.
The maid of honor, Miss Bonnie Wood of Washburn, sister of the bride, wore a white lace street length gown with a Sabrina neckline, fitted bodice, and long sleeves. The full skirt was of light blue silk organza. She wore a matching blue crown hat with net and carried a cascade of white mums.
The bridesmaids, Miss Jeannine Vaillancourt of Fort Kent, a college classmate of the bride, and Miss Phyllis Russell of Washburn, wore pink gowns, identical matching headpieces. They carried cascades of white mums.
Best man was Jim Kennedy of Dawson Springs, Ky., brother of the bridegroom. Ushering were Wendell Wood of Houlton, cousin of the bride and Dennis Lunney of Presque Isle.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the church vestry. The buffet table was decorated with gladioli, carnations and candelabra. The guest book was circulated by Miss Nancy Goven of Presque Isle, classmate of the bride. Mrs. Brenda Swafford of Caribou, a classmate of the bride, and Miss Barbara Dubay of Mt. Holly, N. J., a cousin of the bride, presided at the gift table. Miss Naney McIntire of Perham, classmate of the bride, dipped punch.
The wedding cake was served by Mrs. Pearl Hacker of Caribou, classmate of the bride after the traditional first slice was cut by the bridal couple. Assisting in the serving were the ladies of the Baptist Mission Circle.
The couple left by plane for Franktort, Germany, and will be at home in Ramstein, Germany, after July 15. For her traveling ensemble the bride chose a white and blue linen sheath with matching jacket and white accessories. She wore a corsage of pink rosebuds.
The bride is a graduate of Washburn High School and Husson College. She is a member of Pi Rho Zeta Sorority at Husson College.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Dalton High School In Dawson Spring's Ky., and attended Murray State Teacher's College in Illinois.
