The Rev. Edward Skane officiated at the double ring ceremony. The altar was decorated with candleabra and baskets of gladioli.
Mrs. Margaret Harrison Washburn played traditional wedding marches and accompanied Waldron Babbidge, who sang "Because" and "Together."
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over tulle. The full skirt was accented by a tulle insert. The gown was fashioned with a scalloped neckline, basque bodice and long pointed sleeves. Her fingertip veil of bridal illusion was attached to a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a Bible draped with white roses and babies' breath tied to streamers.
The maid of honor, Miss Marilyn Grant wore an orchid nylon over taffeta ballerina - length gown with short puffed sleeves and a Sahrina neckline with peau de soie edgings. She also wore a matching flowered cap with veil and carried a colonial bouquet of fall flowers.
The best man was Larry Wilcox, brother of the bridegroom.
Ushering were Clifton Dickinson of Perham, cousin of the bride, and Harold Marr, cousin of the bridegroom. The flower girl, Miss Penny Dickinson of Woodland, cousin of the bride, wore a gown similar to the maid of honor's, and a matching headdress. She carried a basket of flower petals.
The ring bearer was Robert Dickinson of Perham, cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church basement, which was decorated with wedding bells and streamers.
The guest book was circulated by Mrs. Betsy Sperrey. Mrs. Kay Adams and Mrs. Edith Dickinson, sister-in-law of the bride, presided at the gift table.
Serving punch was Mrs. Donna Doody. The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. Francis Dickinson of Perham, aunt of the bride, after the traditional first slice was cut by the bridal couple.
For a wedding trip, the bride chose for her traveling ensemble a two - piece brown suit with matching accessories and a corsage of white roses.
The bride is a graduate of Washburn High School, class of 196l.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Washburn High School, class of 1961, and is with the United States Navy, stationed at Norfolk, Va.
The couple will he at home at Norfolk, after October 6.
