Jacqueline Hamlin Is Bride In Methodist Church Rites

Jacqueline Hamlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neal V. Hamlin, RFD 1, Sandy Beach, Pushaw Pond, Bangor, became the bride of Garrel Bouchey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milford Bouchey Washburn, in the First Church of Brewer Saturday afternoon. The Rev. E. Charles Dartnell performed the double-ring ceremony.

Baskets of white gladioli decorated the church altar.

Miss Madeline Nickerson, organist, played varied wedding selections.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a floor-length gown of white satin. The basque bodice featured lace over satin, trimmed with tiny buttons, a scoop neckline and long pointed sleeves. Large scallops encircled the entire hemline and small train. Her bouffant veil of bridal illusion fell from a crown of rhinestones. She carried a white Bible covered with lace and decorated with white roses. The gown and veil were made by the bride.

Mrs. Patricia Ormsby was the matron of honor. She wore a sleeveless blue silk brocade dress in waltz-length, with a scoop neck and velvet straps, topped with a white lace jacket with a Peter Pan collar. Her headpiece was a crown of blue flowers caught with a short veil. She complemented her ensemble with a corsage of pink roses.

Miss Carol Broad, bridesmaid, wore a yellow dress and jacket similar in style to that of the matron of honor, and a crown of yellow flowers with a short veil. Her outfit was complemented with a corsage of pink roses.

Paul Bouchey, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Carl Grant ushered.

Nancy Hamlin, sister of the bride, was the flower girl. Her white satin dress, trimmed with blue flowers and satin pink belt, was made by the bride. She wore a crown of flowers with a short veil and a corsage of sweetheart roses.

Henry Bouchey, cousin of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

The reception was held in the church vestry immediately following the ceremony, and was decorated with white bells and streamers. A centerpiece of assorted flowers decorated the buffet table.

Miss Nancy Pearson circulated the guest book. The Misses Carolyn Bouchey and Mary Jane Tozier presided at the gift table.

The couple left for a week's trip by automobile. On their return after August 20, the couple will he at home at Apartment 4, 345 Union Street, Bangor.
