Ruthada Gregg Becomes Bride At Washburn

WASHBURN -- In a ceremony performed at the Washburn Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Edward Skane, Miss Ruthada Gregg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Osborn Gregg of Washburn, became the bride of Richard Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Campbell, also of Washburn.

The double ring wedding was solemnized Saturday at 7 p. m.

The bride's gown was of Chantilly lace and chiffon, the lace bodice styled with scoop neckline and long sleeves, the chiffon skirt in ballerina length over a net skirt. She chose pink accessories for her gown and a corsage of pink carnations. Her single strand of pearls was a gift from her mother.

Miss Donna Grant, classmate of the bride, was maid of honor. Her ballerina length dress was of teal chiffon over taffeta which she accented with a corsage of pink carnations.

Duane Campbell, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.

The reception was held at the IOOF Building in Caribou. White bells, candles and fall foliage formed a decorative background for the festivities.

Assisting with the serving were the great aunts of the bride, Mrs. Grace Haines and Mrs. Ada Jameson, also Mrs. Marilyn Shaw aunt of the bride, Mrs. Ethel Adams, Bonnie Pooler who served the bride's table, Linda Jameson who poured punch, and Jeanette Gregg, aunt of the bride, who cut the bride's cake.

Musical entertainment during the evening was provided by Mrs. Edward Skane, Cheryldene Nadeau, Linda Clark and Mrs. Margaret Harris. Miss Nadeau and Miss Clark were also at the gift table, together with the Misses Kathleen and Pamela Shaw. Mrs. Cecelia Shaw circulated the guest book.

The couple left for a trip through Canada and Maine, the bride wearing a wool beige costume for traveling, and brown accessories.

The bride is a senior at Washburn High School.

The bridegroom attended Washburn High School and the Cambridge Radio and Television School of Boston. He is an announcer at radio station WEGP at Presque Isle.
