Bonita A. Plissey Marries Douglas Look At Washburn

WASHBURN--In a double ring ceremony Saturday at 2:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Washburn, Miss Bonita Ann Plissey of 174 Union Street, Bangor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Plissey of Washburn, became the bride of Douglas M. Look of 100 Parker Street, Bangor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Look of Columbia Falls.

The Rev. Carlton Cockey, pastor of the Perham Baptist Church, officiated before the altar decorated with baskets of snapdragons and spring flowers.

Mrs. Howard Perkins at the organ played traditional wedding music and accompanied Mrs. Carroll Plissey, cousin of the bride, who sang "Always" and "At Dawning."

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina length white gown. The silk organza skirt was accented with tiny bows down the front. The bodice, of Chantilly lace, featured a scoop neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. Her shoulder length veil of bridal illusion was attached to a wedding-ring bow crown. She wore a single strand of pearls and carried a colonial bouquet of white mums and babies' breath.

The Maid of honor, Miss Marilyn Savard of Presque Isle, wore a blue ballerina length gown with silk organza skirt, featuring a Chantilly lace bodice, scoop neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. She wore a matching shoulder length veil with bow and carried a bouquet of blue iris and babies' breath.

The junior bridesmaid, Miss Kristin Chapman, cousin of the bride, wore a pink gown similar to the maid of honor's, and a matching headdress. She carried a bouquet of pink mums and babies' breath.

Best man was Reginald Grant of Brewer, cousin of the bride-groom. Ushering were Emery Grant of Brewer, cousin of the Bridegroom, and Timothy Humphrey, classmate of the bride. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church dining room which was decorated with wedding bells and bouquets of flowers. Catering for the reception was the Philathea Club of the church. Serving at the refreshment table, which was centered with a silver bowl of yellow mums and candelabra, were Mrs. Tom Sewell of Island Falls, aunt of the bride: Miss Ann Chapman of Presque Isle, aunt of the bride, Mrs. Merle Russell, Mrs. Jasper Umphrey, Mrs. Glen Cheney, and Mrs. Kenneth Duncan. Mrs. Jack Phelan of Caribou, cousin of the bride, dipped punch.

Mrs. Douglas Chapman; aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake after the traditional first slice had been cut by the bridal couple.

The guest book was circulated by Mrs. Richard Farley. Presiding at the gift table were Mrs. Alvin Trask of Kennebunk and Mrs. Lewis Cole.

For a wedding trip to Boston the bride chose for her traveling ensemble a moss green suit with matching accessories and a corsage of carnations.

The couple will be at home at 100 Parker Street. Bangor, after April 29.

The bride is a graduate of Washburn High School and the Eastern Academy of Beauty Culture, Bangor. She is a member of the Bangor YWCA and is employed at Rose Marie Beauty Shop,; Bangor.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Columbia Falls High School and is employed at the Fuel Mart, Bangor
