Mrs. Jean Donovan of Washburn and Floyd L. Harding of Presque Isle were united in marriage
Thursday, May 23, in a simple home ceremony at the residence of the bridegroom, 14 Hillside
St.The Rev. Richnrd E. Rydpr Jr., pastor of The Congregational Church, officiated at the double ring ceremony in the presence of members of the immediate families and close friends.
The bride wore a pale green suit with beige accessories. She was attended by Mrs. Joan Flewelling of Presque Isle, who wore a pale yellow suit with matching accessories.
Burrell W. Carmichael of Presque Isle was best man.
Following the ceremony the wedding party attended a dinner at Green Acres Resturant, Caribou. After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Harding are at home on Hillside street.
The bride attended Mapleton schools and has been a resident of Washburn.
Mr. Harding, a native of Caribou, has been practicing law in Presque Isle for several years. He is president of the Arthur R. Gould Memorial Hospital, a past president of the Presque Isle Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Kiwanis Club, and active in other civic affairs. He is chairman of the Democratic City Committee.
