CARIBOU - Miss Barbara Jeanne Philbrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl K. Philbrick, 15 Veronica Street, Caribou, and Paul M. Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merton Parker, Washburn, were united in marriage November 23, at the Gray Memorial Methodist Church, Caribou. The Rev. George Budd performed the double ring, candle light ceremony.
Mrs. Amos Fletcher, Jr. church organist, played the wedding march and accompanied Mrs. Lester Burgess who sang "At Dawning", and "The Lord's Prayer."
Baskets of white Chrysanthemums decorated the church altar.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina length gown of chantilly lace over nylon tulle, fashioned with a sabrina neckline trimmed with seed pearls and three quarter length sleeves. Her shoulder length veil of bridal illusion was trimmed with applique roses attached to a crown of sequins and pearls. She carried a cascade of white roses and white poms.
Miss Carolyn Peterson, classmate of the bride, was maid of honor. Her gown was of pink nylon over satin with lace jacket and matching headband and veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of white and pink carnations.
Bridesmaids were the Misses Patsy and Sandra Philbrick, Houlton Rd., Presque Isle. Their gowns were of blue and yellow nylon over satin with lace jackets and matching headbands and veils. They carried colonial bouquets of white and blue and white and yellow carnations.
Best man was Leonard Larson, and ushers were Lendall Philbrick, uncle of the bride, and Ossie Burden.
A reception was held immediately after the ceremony in the church dining room. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Flora Philbrick, Mrs. Phyllis Jacques, Mrs, Dorothy Philbrick, Mrs. Emma Hitchcock, and Mrs. Delia Baker all of Caribou. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Clark were in charge of the punch bowl. Mrs. Gertrude Todd, aunt of the bride, poured coffee.
Mrs. Christina Philbrick, aunt of the bride, of Presque Isle, cut the brides cake and it was served by Faith Parker and Diane Philbrick. Gloria Hitchcock, Faye Pelletier and Joy Parker presided at the gift table. The guest book was in the charge of Linda Hitchcock.
The bride attended Caribou schools.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Washburn High School and and is employed at Basil Fox Farms.
The couple are at home on the North Wade Road, Perham.
