CROUSEVILLE -- Miss Peggy Jo Brewer of Washburn became the bride of Edward M. Youngblood of Milo, at 1:30 p.m. in the Advent Christian Church, September 19.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry H. Brewer and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Youngblood.
White gladioli and yellow tea roses decorated the altar for the double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Melvin W. White.
Music included a traditional processional. Mrs. Sonja Flanagin, friend of the bride, sang "I Love You Truly", accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Clayton Clark, aunt of the bride. Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was attired in a floor length gown of peau de soie and Alencon lace. The basque bodice was designed with a Sabrina neckline enhanced with appliques of Alencon lace and pearls in flower design. The full skirt flowing into a chapel train echoed the lace appliques. The bride's elbow length veil of illusion was held by a crown of pearls crystals. She carried a cluster of white gladioli and yellow Sweetheart roses and ivy.
Mrs. Walter Novack, the bride's sister was the matron of honor. She wore a bell-shaped full length gown of melon satin, accented with a bouquet of gladioli and orchids, and a headdress of melon chiffon covering a crown of pearl.
The other attendants were Miss Simone Levesque, Frenchville; Mrs. Robert Beadle, Belfast, and Mrs. James Marks, Jr., Milo, sister of the bridegroom. They wore matching gowns of citron rayon and silk, and carried clusters of melon and yellow gladioli.
The best man was C. Neal Trask, Falmouth Foreside.
The ushers were Karl McGaw, Bangor; Robert Theriault Bar Harbor; Paul Youngblood, Milo, brother of the bridegroom; and Vaughn M. Brewer, Caribou, brother of the bride. The rings were carried by Thomas Brewer, nephew of the bride, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Brewer.
He was followed by Miss Tammy Sue Flanagin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Flanigan, and Miss Barbara Sue Brewer, niece of the bride daughter of Mr. and Vaughn Brewer, Caribou, dropped yellow rose along the aisle.
The girls wore matching dresses with Chantilly lace tiers over yellow silk. Their headdresses of yellow pearl crowns with chiffon were identical to the bride's. They carried white baskets of yellow rose petals.
Assisting at the reception, held at the Presque Isle Country Club, were Mrs. Vaughn Brewer, Miss Dolores Renaud, Miss Barbara J. Smith of Orrington, Miss Mae Brewer of Presque Isle, Mrs. Avard Crouse, Mrs. Thomas Brewer and Mrs. Francis Haskell of Washburn. The couple left on a wedding trip to Quebec.
The bride was graduated from Washburn High School, and the bridegroom was graduated from Milo High School.
Both are graduates of Husson College, Bangor. The bridegroom is employed at the National Cash Register Company in Bangor.
The couple will reside at 510 Broadway, Bangor after September 26.
