NEWPORT -- Miss Georgenia Randall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Randall of Etna, became the bride of Stephen Graves, son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Graves of Etna, Saturday at 6 p.m. at the High Street Congregational Church, Newport. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Leon Hermes.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white lace, two-piece dress, with stand up ruffled neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. Her shoulder length veil was attached to a crown of pearls. She wore a corsage of red roses.
Mrs. Lydia Sperrey of Washburn, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a two-piece pink lace dress, with white accessories and her corsage was of red roses. The best man was David Shaw of Etna.
A reception was held at the Etna Community Hall following the ceremony. Assisting by opening and arranging the gifts was Mrs. Lorraine Donovan of Houlton, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Charlene Randall of Washburn, sister-in-law of the bride. The guest book was in charge of Miss Abbie Randall, sister of the bride. The wedding cake was made and served by Mrs. Geraldine Miller of Winterport, cousin of the bride. The refreshments were served by Mrs. Lena Moran of Carmel, aunt of the bride, Miss Marian Grindle of Bucksport, cousin of the bride-groom; Mrs. Florence Howe of Washburn, aunt of the bride, and Miss Nancy Miller of Winterport.
The bride attended Washburn schools and graduated from Washburn High School in 1964. The bridegroom attended schools in Etna, and graduated from Newport High School in 1962. He graduated from Bail Technical Institute, St. Louis, Mo., October, 1964, and is employed by Bean and Conquest, Inc., at Bangor.
The couple is to reside on Billings Road, Hermon.
