Timothy Knox Marries In Aurora, Ill. College Rite

WASHBURN -- Stephen's Chapel in the Charles B. Phillips Library at Aurora College, Aurora, Ill., was the scene of a wedding, January 29, at 7 p.m., when Miss Verna Kinard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth W. Kinard Lubbock, Tex., became the bride of Timothy Glenn Knox son of the Rev. and Mrs. Wendell P. Knox of Churchill Street Washburn. Officiating at the ceremony was the Rev. Orrin Singleterry, uncle of the bride and a professor at Aurora College.

The bride, escorted by Dr. Moses Crouse, professor of theology at the college, wore a full length gown of white taffeta, with satin brocade jacket. Her fingertip veil of bridal illusion was fastened with a comb of artificial orange blossoms. She carried a white Bible adorned with white hyacinth.

The maid of honor, Miss Cathleen J. Hall of Calais, a student at Aurora College; wore a full length salmon pink gown of net over satin. She carried a colonial bouquet of salmon pink gladioli.

The best man was Kenneth L. Knox, brother of the bride-groom and a student at Aurora College.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Lillian Singleterry, 403 Calumet Avenue.

For their wedding trip to Springfield, Ill., the bride chose a white satin brocade sheath with matching jacket.

The bride is a graduate of Lubbock High School and is a sophomore at Aurora College, majoring in English.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Washburn High School and is a junior at Aurora College. He is employed at National Metalwares in Aurora,

The couple will reside at 460 W. Galena Boulevard, Aurora, Ill. The couple is planning a two week trip to Maine and New England next summer.
