WASHBURN -- Mr. and Mrs. Wendell F. Carman of Washburn have announced the engagement of their daughter, Pauline Eunice, to Gerald L. Vaughan III, son of Mrs. Margarett Vaughan

the late Gerald L. Vaughan II of Washburn.

Miss Carman is a graduate of Washburn High School and is attending Bernard's School of Hair Fashion in Lewiston.

Mr. Vaughan, also is a graduate of Washburn High School and is attending Rittne's Floral School in Boston, Mass.
