R. J. Morin Weds Teacher At Washburn

WASHBURN--Miss Kathleen M. Lancaster, daughter of Jesse R. Lancaster and the late Ethel Lancaster, became the bride of Rower J. Morin of Auburn, Saturday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Washburn. The Rev. Raymond Gauthier performed the ceremony. Mrs. James B. Coffey Jr. was the organist.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a candlelight silk suit and an emerald silk hat. Her corsage was of carnations and mums.

Mrs. Heber Umphey of Washburn was matron of honor. She wore a green wool suit and a mink-trimmed bronze hat. Her corsage was mums and asters.

James B. Betsch b Auburn, son-in-law of the bridegroom, was best man. The ushers were George F. Washburn, III, Presque Isle, and James B. Coffey, Jr. of Presque Isle.

A reception and buffet luncheon was held at the Prestile Terrace Motel in Caribou. Mrs. J. C. McCall was in charge of the guest book and Mrs. George F. Washburn Jr., served the wedding cake.

The bride is a graduate of Aurora, Ill., College and received a master's degree from the University of Maine. For several years she has taught American history at Lewiston High School where she completed her duties in June.

The bridegroom attended Lewiston Schools and for several years has operated a painting and decorating business in Auburn.

Following a trip to the Gaspe, Province of Quebec, the couple will reside at 60 Hampton Avenue, Auburn.

Mr. and Mrs. George F. Washburn Jr.; of Park Street, Presque Isle, entertained the wedding party after rehearsal, Friday evening in their home.
