Mrs. Nathan Churchill, organist, accompanied Mrs. Donald MacKenzie, who sang. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Kinney of Brooks and Mr. and Mrs. Linwood Peary of Washburn.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length white gown of angel skin peau-de-soie and Alencon lace. The bodice was fashioned with a bateau neckline and long pointed sleeves. Appliques of Alencon and pearled lace swept the front of the fitted bodice and sheath skirt. A flowing back panel was held at the waistline with a huge bow. She carried a white Bible centered with a white orchid. Her bouffant veil of bridal illusion was attached to a crown of seed pearls.
Mrs. Roderick Collins, Blaine, was matron of honor. Her street length grown of orange was sheer nylon over taffeta fashioned with a bouffant skirt, draped midriff with a jacket of Chantilly lace with bracelet length sleeves and matching headband. She carried a bouquet of bronze mums.
Miss Janice Lord of Brooks was bridesmaid and she wore a gown of green fashioned like the matron of honor's and carried similar flowers.
Donald Peary was best man and ushers were Michael Umphrey of Washburn and Jerry Fisher of Livermore Falls.
A reception was held following the ceremony in the church basement.
The bride is a graduate of Morse Memorial High School. Brooks; Eastern Academy of Beauty Culture, Bangor; and Northeastern Maine School of Practical Nursing and is employed at the A. R. Gould Memorial Hospital in Presque Isle.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Washburn High School and has served two years in the U. S. Army. He is employed by TaterState Frozen Foods in Washburn.
The couple will reside in Presque Isle.
