Shorey-Nadeau Wedding Held In Caribou Church

CARIBOU -- Miss Cheryldine Joy Nadeau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Nadeau, Caribou became the bride of Calvin Merle Shorey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Shorey, Woodland Road, Caribou, Nov. 13, at the Pentecostal Assembly in Caribou.

The Rev. Jack Mitchell performed the ceremony. The organist was Mrs. Margaret Harris.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a lustrous satin sheath gown with long sleeves trimmed with pearl and Alencon lace, featuring a detachable embroidered wateau train. Her veil was of silk illusion with Alencon lace and pearl crown. She carried a lace Bible with a single orchid.

Mrs. Barbara Mae was matron of honor. She wore a petal pink floor length gown of lace over taffeta with matching headpiece.

Miss Dawn Wilcox, bridesmaid, wore a floor length gown of powder blue. Other attendants were Mrs. Gale Wilcox and Mrs. Linda Sullivan, wearing identical gowns. Their flowers were white carnations and pink sweetheart roses.

The flower girl was Llyn Marie Carroll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lucius Carroll. She was dressed identical to the marton of honor and carried a basket of miniature carnations.

Ring bearer was Clair Belanger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clairmont Belanger.

Soloist was Mrs. Idella Fowler. Two selections, "The Father's Prayer" and "Eternal Love" were written for the bride by Mrs. Bertha Mitchell and sung by Mrs. Mitchell.

Best man was Thomas Mae. Ushers were Gerald Sullivan, Caribou, Alden Wilcox, Caribou and Galen Gagnon, Meriden, Conn.

A reception was held at the Odd Fellows Hall. Mrs. Elva Vance cut the wedding cake. Others assisting were Mrs. Brenda White, Mrs. Elene Anderson, Mrs. Kathleen Gagnon, Brenda Belanger, Pauline Jacobs, Mrs. Wilda White, Mrs. Elizabeth Belmain, Linda Clark and Aundra Parks.

The bride and bridegroom graduated from Caribou High School. He is employed at Automotive Supply Co., Caribou.

After a wedding trip to Mass., and Conn., the couple will be at home at R.F.D. 2, Caribou.
