Linda Akeley, Joseph Pooler Are Married

PRESQUE ISLE--The Full Gospel Assembly was the scene of a wedding Jan. 8, in which Linda Lou Akeley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Akeley, became the bride of Joseph Pooler, son of Mrs. Lottie Pooler and the late Orman Pooler of Washburn. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Bernard R. Patton. Wilmont Kierstead sang accompanied by Mrs. Franklin Lovley.

The bride, given in marriage bp her father, wore a winter white knit suit. She carried a bouquet of baby sweetheart roses on a white Bible.

Mrs. Judith Bonville, was matron of honor. Miss Paula Fornier was the bridesmaid.

Norris Nickerson was best man and Rernard Jordan served as usher.

A reception was held in the Grant Memorial Methodist Church. Assisting were Miss Carolyn Carmichael, Mrs. Gloria Kierstead, Miss Eugenia Akeley, Vickey and Lorie Bonville, Paula Akeley, Mr. and Mrs. Elden Hafford, Lorraine Patton, Brenda Brown, Sheryl Pooler, Mrs. Bernard Campbell, Miss Nellie Knox, Miss Cynthia Carmichael. Mrs. Bernard Patton, Jr., Mrs. Quintin Akeley, and Mrs. Donald Jordan.

The couple will reside at 48 Presque Isle Trailer Park.
