WASHBURN -- Miss Jeannie Ann Turner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Turner, was united in marriage Saturday to Jerry Burnett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burnett of Beckley, W. Va., at the chapel of the Methodist Church in Portland. The Rev. D. K. Bubar performed the ceremony.
The bride chose for her wedding a two piece dress of pink lace complemented by a corsage of red roses. Her only attendant was Miss Lois Giggie, who wore a cranberry wool dress with a corsage of white roses.
Dale Turner, was best man.
The bride is a graduate of Washburn High School and is employed by the Portland Credit Bureau. The bridegroom attended Stoco High School Sophia, W. Va. and spent four years in the Marine Corps. He is employed in Westbrook.
The couple are residing at 111 Sherman Street Portland.
