Miss Jeanette Patricia Mitchell of Smyrna Mills became the bride of Dwayne L. Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn L. Campbell of Washburn, at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Oakfield June 30 at 8 p.m. The Rev. Marvin Lawrence officiated.
Communion was served to the wedding couple by the Rev. Russell Pier president of Faith School of Theology, Old Orchard; prayer was offered by the Kev. Kenneth McDonald of Washburn.
Organist was Mrs. Marvin Lawrence. Miss Penny Burden was soloist.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown fashioned with fitted bodice and scalloped neckline of Chantilly lace, and bouffant skirt of nylon organza over lace. Her elbow length veil of bridal illusion was attached to a coronet of sequins and pearls. She carried a Colonial bouquet of red sweetheart roses with streamers of baby roses.
Miss Dale Mitchell, sister of, the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a floor length gown of orchid brocaded taffeta with long; sleeves and matching head piece. She carried a cascade of orchid carnations.
Bridesmaids Lynda Mitchell, sister of the bride, Patsy Campbell, sister of the bridegroom, and Peggy Dwyer wore floor length gowns of pink, yellow and blue, respectively, and carried cascades of matching carnations. The junior bridesmaid was Erri Lynn Russell, cousin of the bride. Her gown was similar to the brides. Junior bride groom was Robin Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Moore of Lisbon Falls, Miss Cheryl Campbell, sister of the bride groom, was flower girl. She wore a floor length gown of white taffeta with mint green cumber-bund and carried a basket of flower petals. The ring bearer was Bruce Richardson of Washburn. Best man was Dale Campbell, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Clark Mitchell, Jr., and Richard and Terry Campbell of Washburn.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Oakfield Grange Hall. Mrs. Ernest Hersey was in charge of refreshments. The wedding cake, made by Mrs. William Shaw, was cut and served by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Daniel Russell, after the first piece had been cut by the bride and bridegroom. The bride graduated from Old Orchard High School and the Faith School of Theology Old Orchard. The bridegroom graduated from Washburn High School and from the Faith School of Theology at Old Orchard.
Following a few days at Spaulding Lake, the couple will be at home in Washburn. They plan to enter the ministry.
