Mrs. Jack Stoddard played the wedding music and Waldron Babbidge was soloist.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin, floor-length sheath gown with alencon lace panel embroidered with scattered pearls, featuring a scoop neckline and long pointed sleeves. Her detachable train was of taffeta. The veil was of elbow length tulle attached to a pillbox topped with a rose of alencon lace. She carried a cascade of white roses and ivy.
Miss Bonnie Tarr was maid of honor. She wore a floor length gown designed with a scoop neckline and elbow length sleeves. The skirt was of light pink and the bodice was hot pink crepe with a large bow and panel in the back. She wore a pillbox with matching circular veil and carried a colonial bouquet of aqua mums.
Miss Sheila Hemphill of Presque Isle and Miss Susan Brown were bridesmaids. Their gowns were identical in style to that of the maid of honor only in deep light aqua. They carried pink colonial bouquets.
Miss Kimberly Lavway, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lavway of Wolcott, Conn., was flower girl. She wore a dress of light blue with taffeta overskirt and carried a basket of rose petals.
Andrew Turner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Turner, was ringbearer.
Ralph Wheeler of Presque Isle was best man and ushers were David Lavway, and Jeffrey Hamphill of Presque Isle, and Keith Kingsbury of Mars Hill.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church dining room. Assisting were Mrs. Guy Turner, Mrs. Jasper Umphrey, Mrs. Wendall Doody, Mrs. Leroy Turner, Mrs. George Doody, Miss Diane James, Mrs. Leatha Wilson, Miss Diana Jacobs, Miss Karen Hemphill and Mrs. Ralph Wheeler.
Following a wedding trip to Prince Edward Island the couple will be at home at Presque Isle.
The bride is a graduate of Washburn High School and attended Husson College. The bridegroom is a graduate of Presque Isle High School, the University of Maine and is self-employed.
