
The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Murray Allen Jr., wore a chapel train gown of nylon organza and chantilly lace. Scalloped lace encircled the neckline of the long sleeved bodice and defined a redingote effect on the bouffant skirt that terminated in full lace edged chapel train. Her bouffant elbow length veil fell from a crown of pearls and crystals and she carried a white Bible covered with a white orchid.
The maid of honor was Miss Nancy-Ann Lee, Bangor, and bridesmaids were Miss Sheryl Flewelling and Miss Judith Flewelling, Meredith, N.H. They wore street-length gowns of brocaded taffeta with matching headpieces in shades of yellow blue and pink. Each carried a single long-stemmed red rose.
The flower girl was Miss Janet Parker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Parker, Washburn.
The best man was Richard A. Golding II, Hamden, and ushers were David Parker, Brewer and William Boulier, Washburn
The ring bearer was Jeffrey Layne Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Allen Jr., Washburn. A reception was held following the ceremony. Assisting were: Mrs. Phyllis Allen, Mrs. Grace Parker, Mrs. Roberta Doak, Mrs. Gerald Flewelling, Miss Marilyn Grant, Miss Carla Martin and Miss Beth Flewelling.
The couple will be at home at 6816 Red Top Road, Takoma Park, Md.
The bride attended Washburn High School and Eastern Maine General School of Nursing She has been employed as a registered nurse at the Eastern Maine General Hospital. The bridegroom attended Hampden Academy and is now in the Navy stationed at the National Naval Medical Center. Bethesda, Md.
