
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Quentin Jardine of Washburn and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Leland of Oak Park, Ill.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor gown of summer satin and lace. The summer satin train was attached to the waist of the dress. Her shoulder-length veil of nylon bridal illusion was attached to a crown of seed pearls`. She carried a white Bible covered with pink sweetheart roses.
Miss Ruth Leland of Oak Park, Ill. was maid of honor. She wore a floor-length gown of pistachio green with scoop neckline and short sleeves. She carried a single pink rose and wore a matching large bow and veil.
Bridesmaids were Miss Loyce Leland, Oak Park, Ill. and Miss Berta Hughey of Brewer. Junior bridesmaids were Miss June Leland, and Miss Laurie Umphrey of Presque Isle. All wore gowns of the same style and color the maid of honor's and carried a single pink rose.
Mark Bayert of For Park, Ill. was best man. Ushers were Roger Jardine of Caribou; and Don Hane, Oak Park Park, Ill. Junior ushers Paul Leland and Peter Umphrey.
Mrs. Robert Foreman of Washburn played the far Miss Robyn Foreman and Miss Ruth Kratzat of Watertown. N.Y, soloists. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church hall. Assisting were Mrs. Roger Jardine, Miss Lorraine Turner, Darryl Peary, Mrs. Don Hane, Miss Mavis Churchill, Miss Esther Dickenson, Mrs. Viola Peary, Mrs. George Young, Mrs. Vesta Stairs, Mrs. Alden Wilcox and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Umphrey.
The bride is a graduate of Washburn High School and West Suburban Hospital School of Nursing, Oak Park, Ill. She attended Moody Bible Institute at Chicago and has been employed at Arthur R. Gold Memorial Hospital.
The bridegroom is a graduate of River Forest High School, Oak Park, Ill. and Northern Illinois University.
After a wedding trip they will be at home in Columbia, S.C. where the bridegroom will be attending Columbia Bible College Graduate School.
