Mrs. William Harold Bragdon
(Miss Karen Christina Stromback)

Miss Karen Christina Stromback, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanford A. Stromback of Mars Hill, became the bride of William Harold Bragdon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Meredith K. Bragdon of Perham, on November 10 at the Free Baptist Church of Blaine.

The Reverend H. Raeburn Cameron officiated at the ceremony. Organist was Mrs. Harry Terrill.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a floor length A-line gown of peau de soie with modified scoop neckline and traditional long pointed sleeves. Alencon lace appliques accented the fitted bodice, and her gown was complemented with a detachable chapel length watteau train. Her bouffant elbow length veil of silk illusion was attached to a crown of seed pearls, and she carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and white chrysanthemums.

Mrs. Dana Collins of Mars Hill was matron of honor. Her blue street length gown featured a skirt of nylon chiffon over taffeta and a nylon lace top with long sleeves. She wore a matching headpiece with veil and carried a colonial bouquet of white chrysanthemums.

The best man was Donald Hetherington of Fort Fairfield, uncle of the groom

Following the ceremony a dinner was held at the Prestile Terrace in Caribou.

The bride graduated from Aroostook Central Institute and is employed as secretary for the University of Maine Extension Service in Presque Isle.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Washburn High School and Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute and is in business with his father.

The couple will make their home in Perham.
