Miss Norbeck, Mr. Turner Wed At Baptist Ceremony

WASHBURN -- The First Baptist Church, Washburn, was the scene of the wedding of Miss Marlene M. Norbeck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Norbeck of New Sweden to Bruce Glen Turner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Turner of Washburn.

The Rev. Robert Dischinger of New Sweden performed the July 26 [1967] ceremony. Soloist was Waldron Babidge and organist was May Hanson.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a full-length gown of white linen with natural waistline and sheath skirt. Alencon lace accented the midriff and hemline.

Maid of honor was Miss Lorena Dickinson of Caribou. She wore a floor-length gown of mint green with matching headpiece. Miss Carol Levesque and Miss Cathy Brown were bridemaids. They wore floor-length pink gowns with matching headpieces. Flower girl was Jill Adams of New Sweden.

Best man was Jerry Pelletier of Caribou. Ushers were Dave Fuller and Steve Martin of Washburn. Ringbearer was Mark Turner of Washburn.

A reception was held at the American Legion Hall in Caribou; with Gary Verguson's band playing. Assisting in serving were Betty Hicks, Dianne Nadeau, Sue Robinson, Nonie Corey, Connie Caverhill, Freda Heath, Reta Adams; Fern Harmon, Cathy Grant, Penny Dickinson, Lou Wark, Tina Erickson, Loueen Erickson, Marion Danboise, Edwina Anderson, Linda Hebert, Edwidge Danboise and Cora Cochran. The bride is a 1967 graduate of Caribou High School. The bridegroom is a 1966 graduate of Washburn. He has just returned from National Guard training.

Mr. and Mrs. Turner are at home in their apartment on High Street.
