Washburn Pastor Officiates At Daughter's Wedding Rite

LENOX, Mass. -- Miss Lola Elaine Knox, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Wendell P. Knox of Washburn, became the bride Aug. 12 [1967] of Randall Lee Rutan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hermon

Rutan of Delaware, Ohio. The wedding took place at the Chapel at Berkshire Christian College.

The ceremony was performed by the bride's father assisted by the Rev. Thomas R. Rutan, brother of the bridegroom, of Lexington, Va. Timothy G. Knox, of Aurora, Ill., was soloist, accompanied at the piano by his wife.

The bride wore a floor-length white gown of lace and net over satin with a princess waist, scalloped neckline and long-pointed sleeves. Her elbow length veil was attached to a crown of pearls. She carried talisman roses.

Mrs. Joy K. Roehrig, of Batavia, Ill. was matron of honor. She wore a floor-length gown of sheer peach paisley and carried mint green carnations and orange roses.

Miss Deborah Rutan, flower girl wore a dress of mint green sheer paisley and carried mint green carnations and roses.

Scott Rutan, was ringbearer.

Neil Rutan, of Delaware, Ohio, was best man. Ushers were Kenneth L. Knox, of Aurora, Ill. and J. Lawrence Spinks of West Springfield, Mass.

Following the ceremony an outdoor reception was held at the College Terrace. Assisting with the reception were Miss Margaret Spinks, Mrs. Norma Spinks, Miss Joan Martin, Mrs. Peter Columbari and Miss Marilyn Rutan.

The bride is a 1965 graduate of Washburn High School and attended Berkshire College. She is employed by the Berkshire Life Insurance Co., Pittsfield, Mass.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Richwood High School, Richwood, Ohio and is a senior at Berkshire Christian College.
