Linda Lee Clark Weds Vinal Wilcox, Washburn

Miss Linda Lee Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Colby C. Clark of Caribou, became the bride of Vinal James Wilcox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vinal P. Wilcox of Washburn, the evening of Nov. 4 [1967] at the Pentecostal Assembly of Caribou. The Rev. Jack Mitchell officiated at the double ring ceremony with communion.

Mrs. Gerald Sullivan sang "I Love You Truly" and "To My Bride" accompanied by Philip Nichols at the piano. Mrs. Jack Mitchell also sang "Each For the Other".

Candelabra and baskets of flowers were used in decorating.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of white peau de soie featuring panels of lace applique on the A- line skirt and train.

Her elbow length veil of bridal illusion fell from a crown of pearls and crystals. She carried a cascade bouquet of white mums centered with an orchid.

Miss Gayla Parks of Caribou was maid of honor. She wore a gown of pink crepe and carried a bouquet of pink tinted mums with pink streamers. Her headpiece was of pink net with a velvet bow.

Bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Nickerson of Winterport and Miss Phyllis Forbes of Presque Isle. They wore identical gowns of light blue organza over taffeta with lace and head-pieces of blue net attached to white velvet bows. They carried bouquets of blue tinted mums with blue streamers.

Miss Terrie Wilcox, sister of the groom was junior bridesmaid. Her gown was of deep turquoise and she carried bouquet of blue tinted mums.

Flower girls were the Misses Gail and Vickie Bell of Washburn. They wore gowns of pink crepe and carried baskets of tinted mums.

John Young of Washburn was best man. Ushers were Mike Umphrey of. Washburn and Dale Clark of Caribou, brother of the bride. Junior usher was Philip Miller of Caribou.

For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Clark wore a kelly green suit complemented with beige accessories and a corsage of yellow roses.

Mrs. Wilcox, mother of the groom, wore a cocoa beige dress complemented with brown accessories and a corsage of yellow roses.

A reception was held at the American Legion Hall which was decorated with white wedding bells and blue and white streamers. Phyllis Tracy circulated the guest book and Phyllis Miller and Donna Sullivan had charge of the gift table.

The bride's cake was served by Mrs. Carl A. Nickerson of Bangor and Mrs. Robert Bell of Washburn. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Rita Nickerson of Winterport, O'Dell Dickinson, Margaret Cote, and Shirley Wilcox, all of Caribou.

The bride was graduated from Caribou High School and is presently employed by Aroostook County Federal Savings and Loan Association.

The bridegroom, a graduate of Washburn High School, is employed by the Washburn highway Department. The couple is residing in Washburn after a week's wedding trip to New York.
