MRS. BERNARD P. MCDOUGAL (Valerie M. McDougall)
As Miss Isabel Carlin played the wedding march, the bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She was wearing an A-line gown of slipper satin embellished with bands of Venetian lace which also trimmed her train. Her headpiece was a mantilla edged with venetian lace. She carried a cascade of gladioli and babies breath.
The bride was attended by her sisters, Miss Roxanna McDougall, as maid of honor, and Miss Elva McDougall, bridesmaid. Their A-line gowns were in blue, but different shades. They carried old fashioned nosegays of yellow blossoms.
Morris and Steven McDougal of Washburn were best man and usher, respectively. A second usher was William McDaugall III of Hermon.
Assisting during the reception, which was held at the Hermon Community Hall, were Mrs. Gareth Johnson, Robin McDougall, Debora McDougal, Mrs. James Glenzel.
Mrs. Garrett Lovett, Mrs. Henry Stupackwicz and Mrs. Wendall Brawn.
After May 6 the couple is to be at home at Gulfport, Miss., where the bridegroom is stationed with the Navy.
The bride is a 1966 graduate of Hermon High School and attended the University of Maine.
The bridegroom graduated from high school at Washburn in 1963 and from the Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute in 1966.
