The Rev. Eric J. Davidson officiated. Mrs. Harry Rideout was soloist and Mrs. Nathan Churchill was organist.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of chantilly lace and a full train. She carried a bridal bouquet of white orchids decorated with blue carnations.
Miss Carolyn Flewelling was maid of honor. Other attendants were Miss Leigh King of Portland and Miss Wendy Thomas of Augusta.
Miss Flewelling wore a full length A-line blue linen gown. The attendants wore gowns of light blue, and carried bouguets of white daisies.
Kathy Ketchum of Mars Hill was flower girl.
Robert King, Jr., was best man. Ushers were Philip Grant of Howland and Theodore Axelsen of Portland.
The wedding reception was held at the church Fellowship dining room. Assisting were Mrs. Philip Grant, Mrs. Brian Ketchum, Mrs. Merle Bragg, Mrs. Victor Ketchum and Mrs. Basil Fox.
The bride graduated from Washburn High School and is a senior at the University of Maine. She will attend summer school at Portland at the University of Maine.
The bridegroom graduated from Deering High School, Portland and is senior at University of Maine.
Following a wedding trip the couple will reside at Portland for the summer and return to the University of Maine, Orono, this fall.
