Washburn Man Married In Virginia Rite

PORTSMOUTH, Va. -- Miss Marilyn Sue Callahan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Callahan of Portsmouth, Va., became the bride of Robert Wayne Doak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Doak of Washburn, Maine at the Assembly of God Church at Portsmouth, Va., Aug. 4 [1968] with the Rev. Homer Peterson Jr., officiating.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The maid of honor was Miss Kathy Maxcy of Virginia Beach, Va. The matron of honor was Mrs. Donna Jean Jethro of Portsmouth, Va.

The bridesmaids were Miss Janet Callahan and Amelia Doak, of Washburn.

The best man was Jack Kincaid of Fairmont, W. Va. Ushers were Vincent Cioffi, Long Island, N.Y., and Patrick and Dennis Callahan, and Julian Jethro, all from Portsmouth, Va.

Wedding music was played by Mrs. Stewart Holland. Soloist was Mrs. D. J. Bates.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Academy Park Womens Club Williamsburg, Va.

The bride graduated from Portslnouth High School and attended Zion Bible Institute, East Providence, R.I.

The bridegroom graduated from Washburn High School and Zion Bible Institute, East Providence, R.I.

After a brief wedding trip the couple are making their home at Lakeland, Fla. where the groom will enter Southeastern Bible College.
