Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Marilyn Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene J. Schmidt of Clifton, N. J., to Peter M. Russell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merle K. Russell of Washburn. Miss Schmidt received a BA degree in education from New England College, Henniker, N.Y., and teaches third grade at Washington School, Nutley. Her fiance attended Caribou High School and is a graduate of Maine Central Institute, Pittsfield. Mr. Russell is marketing major at New England College and is a member of Sigma Phi Delta Fraternity. A July wedding is planned.
