Mrs. William B. McCall (Karen G. Ashbaugh)The single ring ceremony took place in a grove of trees marked by a path of rose petals. The bride's entrance was to the theme from "Romeo and Juliet" the couple's exit was the theme from "A Man and A Woman." William Savory, Justice of the Peace, officiated.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white A-line gown of silk organza with panels of re-embroidered lace and a mantilla of matching lace and detachable chapel train. She carried one long-stemmed red rose.
Matron of honor, Mrs. Raechelle S. Dinan, sister of the bride, wore a sky-blue chiffon gown with empire waist. She carried a nosegay of white daisies.
Best man was J. C. McCall, the groom's father. The mother of the bride was attired in a sleveless blue crepe dress with matching lace coat. She wore a corsage of yellow sweetheart roses.
The mother of the groom wore a lime green double knit suit and a corsage of yellow sweatheart roses.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at the McCall's camp.
Mrs. RoseAnn West, Portage, assisted in serving. Miss Linda Ferraro, Woodbridge, N.J., circulated the guest book.
The bride is a graduate of Trenton State College, Trenton, N.J., majoring in the field of special education for the deaf and hard-of-hearing. Formerly a teacher at the Marie H. Latzenbach School for the Deaf, West Trenton, N.J., she will begin a class of preschool deaf children at the Bangor Regional Speech and Hearing Center in the fall.
The groom graduated from Gould Academy, Bethal, Me., attended Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Institute, Daytona Beach, Fla. He served in the Army with a tour of duty in Vietnam. He will further his education at the University of Maine, Orono, this fall. He is presently employed by the Edward C. Jordan Co., Inc., consultant engineer, Presque Isle.
The couple are now in Washburn, but will reside in Bangor in the fall.
